Taking Zamora's Natural Hair Course has been one of my greatest learning experiences, both online & hands-on. Even though I've been braiding and styling natural hair for years; reading & learning natural hair history, techniques, and maintenance requirements in depth has really enhanced my understanding, skills, and customer service abilities as a stylist. I have also found through taking the class my love and appreciation for natural hair has increased tremendously. I recommend this course to those looking to push their skills as a Natural Hair Stylist to the next level.

Professionalism is what people often look for when they walk into any establishment but Understanding and Patience is what will make people seek you out over and over again instead of the other person. When I walked into Zamora to take cornrow and braiding class offered I received that and more. As a Man I was very nervous about being in a salon environment and if I could even learn how to do a basic flat-twist or part hair the right way. However as Ms. Tonika started to focus her energy on helping me get understanding on everything I was doing I could see she had a master knowledge of her craft . No matter how many times I asked for help or to do something over again her welcoming tone never changed and the same can be said for her staff which relaxed me and put me at ease. Also I was able to get the REAL HANDS on training needed to further my understanding. This experience was vital and priceless to seriously developing my skills . I will most definitely be going back. ​

"I might not be the ideal client for the hair braiding classes as I'm not a stylist, nor do I own my own salon. My goal was to be able to braid my daughter's hair. I will say paying that much for a class was a little scary, but I was tired of dropping $150 every time I got her hair done. I felt like this was an investment that would pay off in the long run. I'm still not an expert but I just started my journey. McKenzie and Tonika both were wonderful. They calmed my nerves, correcting my braiding mishaps without making me feel terrible, and made me laugh along the way. Tonika took her time showing me everything from fixing my parts to encouraging me to pick up my speed when I was ready. I was so proud of the braids I did on my daughter with Tonika's help I told every person I saw, even a few strangers. Since the class I've braided her hair and her friends hair. I just recently took a natural hair styling course here. The instructor was very patient & there was plenty of opportunities to work on real clients! Even after I Finished they helped me beyond hairstyling, providing useful tips and resources for entrepreneurship. Highly Recommended!

My Goals are to be knowledgeable about natural hair building skills in loc and braiding technique, to build a bigger clientele and how to run a salon business/salon owner. Tonika helped in building my confidence in loc and braiding by sharing techniques and add on to my services such making oils etc. I noticed a change in my braiding technique and my confidence in locs and natural hairstyles.
